Once the wheel is clicked it just reduces the screen size. I just bought the msoft wireless mouse mobile 4000 and there is no instructions with it.My old one used to scroll down when one clicked on the wheel and then rolled the wheel forward and backward. It gives no explaination anywhere on how to operate this mouse in the instruction manual that came with it nor on the website. If I push the button on the left side of the mouse it changes my web page. I loved the old 4000, so when I found this one, I knew I'd like it too.
I purchased this mouse because my Microsoft Wireless Notebook Mouse 4000 had issues with the scroller's gel sliding off, making horizontal scorlling virtually impossible. It shows that one is to push the wheel left or right.
It says that if you can go left and right but that doesn't happen either. When I try to roll the wheel without clicking it it does scroll but at a really slow rate.
